When I write, I immerse myself. I laugh when the characters tease each other, and I smile softly when they’re kind. I’m writing the third book of the trilogy, now, while the first two are living in various stages of editing. When I am having a rough moment in my day to day life, I will often think about where I am in the story, where the characters are going next, and it calms me. I enjoy them so much, I’m actually a little afraid of what happens after the trilogy is complete. I will miss them! It makes me realize why some authors continue with a series past where it might have logically ended…they aren’t ready to let go. Assumably the readers feel the same way, so it works out.
I plan to have a solid conclusion to my trilogy, but I can’t help but wonder if there is an avenue for the story to continue somehow…
